Seminar 2025-6: Microscopic Perspective Unveils Acupoint Anatomy, Precision Positioning Enhances Acupuncture Practice
Speaker: Professor Wang, Zengtao (Chief Specialist,Director, Shandong Provincial Hospital)
Organizer:Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA) ,American TCM Association, New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Alumni Association
Lecture Topic:The Anatomy Structur of the Five Shu Points—Modern Anatomy Empowers Precision Acupuncture
Teaching Mode: Hybrid(Zoom Link will be Provided before the Event)
Description: Anatomy is fundamental in the medical field. In the U.S., accurate acupoint localization is crucial for effective acupuncture treatment. However, traditional proportional body measurements for acupoint positioning often vary between practitioners. Thus, anatomical positioning and structural understanding of acupoints—especially through modern scientific techniques—are essential for acupuncture research and clinical practice. In 2023, the American TCM Association hosted a conference featuring Professor Wang Zengtao’s groundbreaking research on the common anatomical structures of the Five Shu Points. After two more years of dedicated study, Professor Wang will now present the latest advancements in acupoint anatomy in 2025.
