What Is An Acupuncture Treatment Like

When the needles are inserted you may experience a sensation of tingling or warmth. Some people feel no sensation at all. People are surprised to find that treatments are actually quite relaxing. A treatment usually takes one hour. Acupuncture is schedule as often as three times a week or as little as twice a month. As symptoms improve, fewer visits are required. You should discuss your treatment program with your acupuncturist as each individual case is unique.

Acupuncture is a very safe medical procedure when administered by qualified practitioners. Pre-sterilized, disposable needles are used in accordance with strict Clean Needle Technique procedures. Adverse side effects are extremely low and often lower than conventional treatment.
