Course Details

Chinese scalp acupuncture is a contemporary acupuncture technique that combines traditional Chinese acupuncture methods with the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the western cerebral cortex, and biomedicine. It has been proven effective in treating acute and chronic central nervous system disorders. Scalp acupuncture not only requires a small number of needles and is effective, but often brings immediate improvement. Although acupuncture has been practiced in China for thousands of years, scalp acupuncture as a modern innovation has a history of only 50 years. It is useful in treating stroke, multiple sclerosis, paralysis after car accidents, and Parkinson’s disease. It also plays an important role in treating pain caused by the central nervous system, such as phantom limb pain, complex regional pain, and stump pain. It has been shown to be very effective in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, brain injury, aphasia, ataxia, and Ménière’s disease.
