The following links and videos from the U.S. Department of Education aim to help students new to the Financial Aid process to get a better understanding of the program. These videos are owned by Federal Student Aid, an office of the Department of Education.

Financial Aid Process
Step 1: Create FSA ID

Step 2: Complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA)

Step 3: Contact the Financial Aid Office to begin application process (financial_aid@nyctcm.edu)

Step 4: Complete Entrance Counseling (if borrowing loans)

Step 5: Complete Master Promissory Note (MPN) (if borrowing loans)
https://studentaid.gov/mpn/subunsub/landing (if undergraduate)
https://studentaid.gov/mpn/grad/landing/(if graduate)

Upon dropping below half-time, graduating or leaving school, all financial aid recipients must complete Exit Counseling
